Welcome to IPPS New Zealand

The New Zealand IPPS Region is part of an international society comprising like-minded nursery people, propagators, researchers and plant enthusiasts who espouse the "seek and share" philosophy.

Members are expected to seek and share information with one another by attending conferences, field days and placing articles in IPPS publications. This has been the strength of IPPS as it nears the end of its 6th decade since the first gathering in 1951 at Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

Conference is a highlight of the annual calendar. Usually held in April or May it features nursery visits, demonstrations and lectures. Couple this with plenty of time for networking and socialising, and a good and informative time is had by all!

More nurseries are visited during Field Days, held throughout New Zealand. In addition the itinerary includes National Parks, remote sites and even off-shore islands!

Members are encouraged to attend international meetings and are always welcome though any one of the regions that form the 2400-strong membership base in Great Britain and Ireland, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, North America, Japan and South Africa. The international website is a great place to start to explore the wide wide world of plants and friendly plants people.
